SFMC 1st Gender and Development Seminar-Workshop/Team Building at Nawawalang Paraiso Hotel and Resort, Tayabas City, December 7-8, 2023
San Francisco Municipal College held its first ever GAD Seminar Workshop and Team Building with the theme “Nurturing Comprehensive Growth: Integrating Mindfulness and Gender Equality for Professional Advancement.
The onset of the activity begins with the seminar workshop which had two parts. In the first part, the honorable guest speaker, Sir Jeffrey P. Jumarang, Municipal Administrator of San Francisco, Quezon, in the person of Dr. Pinky Mariel M. Mangaya shared substantial information regarding the use of fair and gender-sensitive language and Magna Carta of Women which draw the rights and advocate for women. This is anchored to the 18-Day campaign to end Violence Against Women and Children or VAWC.
On the second part of the program, Dr. Rogel L. Limpiada, Vice President on the Academic Affairs of Colegio de la Ciudad de Tayabas accepted the invitation to provide information about the way to a gender-responsive community. The participants were informed about the existence of a proper organization through a broad and intelligent mind.
After a successful and fruitful seminar-workshop, Team Building was held on the second day. There were fun games and activities that was enjoyed by all the teaching and non-teaching staffs.
